Christmas at Unity Park

Feed by Grace celebrates Christmas at Unity Park with the homeless each December. Our volunteers, church sponsors, and civic partners join together to provide worship through music, song, and communion. Computers are set up to locate family members’ addresses and the homeless individual can then chose from a selection of cards to send one and try to reconnect with family.

Craft projects are also offered so people can make and give gifts to their family members and friends here in the neighborhood. A meal is offered and holiday treats are available for dessert. All of our homeless friends are given a gift bag and finally, volunteers give gifts of blankets, coats and warm clothes.

Christmas at Unity Park was held Saturday, December 10, 2011 and a good time was had by all!

Thank you to the Adkins family, Anointed Vision of Giving, DVA Productions, The Exchange Church, Fellowship of the Parks, St. Paul United Methodist Hurst, First United Methodist Hurst, First Baptist Hurst, St. John's, Denise Diaz, and The Hills Church of Christ.

We are appreciative of the many people who came forward and answered the urgent call to fill this year's gift bags and the folks who showed up after work one night to fill them.

A special thank you to John for inspirational music through song and guitar playing, Reverend Jacob Seay for giving the Christmas message, and Pastor Kent Kilbourne for blessing the sacraments.
