Mike Rogers  I am a native of North Texas born & raised in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas.  After graduating from high school, I enlisted in the Air Force.  I was only going to do one 4 year term, finish school & come back to Texas.  22 years later I retired from the Air Force.  We moved back to the DFW Metroplex in 2001.  First I worked for Lockheed Martin on a contract with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for 7 years.  Then in Oct 2008, I jumped ship & became a federal employee for the second time taking a position as a cost estimator for engineering projects for the FAA.

Through all the Air Force years & now the transition years my wonderful wife Michelle has been with me.  Though it‘s a tough job she keeps me on the straight & narrow.  We have 3 kids.  Our oldest son is a children’s pastor in Kingsport, Tennessee.  Our younger son is an actor living in New York.  If you are in our address book you already know that he has appeared in all 3 versions of Law & Order.  Our daughter is known to some of the volunteers who come to Unity Park as she has been there many times as a volunteer herself.
